Since Chrome has fixed some bugs that had been annoying me. I started to use it again, for the sake of it's lean design.

Shortcuts I find useful:

Ctrl+Shift+N     Open a new window in incognito mode

Ctrl+T
Ctrl+Shift+T     Reopen the last tab you've closed. Google Chrome remembers the last 10 tabs you've closed.\

Ctrl+F     Open find-in-page box

Ctrl+G or F3     Find next match for your input in the find-in-page box

Drag link to bookmarks bar     Bookmark the link

Ctrl+D     Bookmark your current webpage

 

Things that I can't do in Chrome (compared to Firefox...

1) press an RSS button and add to Google reader
2) Flv download add-on
3) AD Blocker
4) Thunder plug-in, have to copy download link and then let Thunder do the job.

今天刚好又看了一个电视节目，说的是一个女孩到朋友家做客，在阳台上靠着聊天的时候，阳台的护栏掉了，摔了下去，谁会想到阳台护栏靠一下就断呢？

需要吸取个个教训，万事一定要小心，不可大意。一方面，对于任何能够想到的风险，都不可小视，多多注意，double-check；另一方面，对于这种小概率事件，也要祈求神明保佑了...

Its UI design fits my taste very well, exactly what I had been trying to customize for from Firefox but failed.  The one line statement on the homepage "Google Chrome is a browser that combines a minimal design with sophisticated technology to make the web faster, safer, and easier." As long as it runs stably, the "minimal design" part can buy my vote without necessary making the web faster, safer, and easier.

UI Design matters, more than most people have expected, proved by Apple's successes and now by Google Chrome, again.

第二，社会事业的严重滞后。中央为什么在2003年非典之后提出科学发展观，提出五个协调，就是我们的经济发展与社会发展很不协调，比如在卫生方面，一些县级医院只有一台呼吸机，如果非典传到农村，后果不堪设想。教育领域也是如此；

第三，就是民生问题很突出，看病贵、就业难、住房难、上学难突出；

第四，经济发展粗放。能源、资源大量投入，产出比例比较低；

第五，就是环境遭到严重污染，生态遭到破坏。一些地方非常缺水，空气污染严重；

第六，一些地方、一些领域腐败现象严重，社会风气不好。

With an Edge network, the surfing speed you can get from Blackberry modem is quite acceptable for doing some light weighted work just browsing, chatting and checking emails.

I've been using iPhone for several months, and now I've got a Blackberry 8300 smartphone. After several days hands on testing of Blackberry, my impression is that iPhone is not perfect, but it's way cooler than Blackberry. Blackberry does has its strength in pushmail and keyboard shortcuts. But it is obvious to me that iPhone is much better in everything else, and would catch up in it's weaknesses sooner or later.

I don't use the bundled sidebar of it.

However Google desktop search doesn't do it's major job "search" as well as its web search. The results it presents are not good enough, and for some keywords, it's just not relevant at all. It can't correctly locate some application as well.

When I found Xobni and Launchy. I decided to unstall Google Desktop. Xobni do the same quick mail search and it does a lot more by listing interaction data and attachments. Launchy can locate applications much accurately and get me out of the headache of finding the applications when Google desktop failed me.

I still do not find a replacement for disk files search, but I still don't want to keep Google desktop, it doesn't find me the right file most of time anyway.

    Try this, uninstall all the previous versions (FF2 and FF3 beta, back up your bookmarks, delete all the Firefox directories, and best of all, all register entries as well using a register cleaner like "ccleaner"), then install a fresh new FF3. According to my test... FF3 stops crashing and works stably so far... so the crashing problem should be due to mixed installation with previous versions...

    Surfing happily!
